How many of y’all are seeing your calendars fill up before your eyes for the next six to seven weeks? I know I am! I love a good party so I enjoy any excuse to get dressed up but I can’t forget the more everyday Christmas gatherings and the more casual holiday parties. I’m talking about casual work parties, Christmas cookie decorating parties, Secret Santa gift exchanges or white elephant parties, and dinner parties or brunches just because it’s the holiday season. You’ll definitely need something festive, comfortable, adorable, and appropriate for these types of events so I’m sharing what to wear to a casual holiday party with y’all today! This outfit is exactly what you’ll be seeing me wear!
I always get excited to peak at the new collections each month from Gal Meets Glam! When I saw this dress (also available here) in their lookbook, I knew I had to have it! I love green and can’t get enough of the rich evergreen hue of this dress. It’s the perfect shade for the holidays too! Between the scalloped trim and the statement buttons, this green dress has plenty of character. The subtle fit and flare silhouette is always one of my go-to styles because it’s so flattering… plus, this dress has pockets! Signed, sealed, delivered!
My leopard d’orsay flats are probably around five years old from Jenni Kayne (similar, similar, similar). When I lived in Los Angeles, I absolutely loved shopping at the Brentwood Country Mart Jenni Kayne store location! They have been a tried and true classic shoe for me over the years. I’ve been wearing leopard shoes quite a bit recently on the blog (here, here, and here) because I really do love adding a pop of leopard to any outfit and a shoe is usually the easiest way to do it. Leopard just adds an extra element of fun to any look! I rounded up a mix of leopard flats below including d’orsay flats, slides, ballet flats, and loafers.
No outfit is complete without accessories! At the risk of sounding like a broken record twice, I’m having a love affair with my tortoise clutch and I’m never not raving about Hart Hagerty earrings. You’ve seen this clutch a lot lately in my Gift Guide for Her and in my recent little black dress outfit. As you can see, it’s so versatile and goes with everything. In the summer, I’m wearing it with blue and white! This particular pair of tassel earrings (last seen here) is the loveliest shade of “green tea” green. I like mixing different shades within one color so this green on green look is doing it for me.
Both my earrings and my dress were designed by local Charleston girls, Hart and Julia. It’s such a privilege to live in a place full of so many incredibly talented women! I’m inspired by the people around me in Charleston every single day.
