Can you believe the unofficial end of summer is this weekend!? I’m always so torn this time of year between wanting summer to last forever and being so excited for autumn to arrive. What do y’all crave this time of year, summer or fall? Either way, there’s no denying that Labor Day weekend is such a fun excuse to savor summer and enjoy every moment of the long days before we soon find them shortening. I’m traveling this weekend to San Diego for a bachelorette so I’ll be spending this evening packing for my trip. Luckily, I already have some things in mind that I want to bring, which will make packing that much easier (I’m determined to bring a carryon!).
I thought it would be fun to share the outfit I’m wearing Labor Day weekend (at least one that I know I’m wearing. There will be more, ha!). After the bachelorette weekend, I’m meeting Edwin in Los Angeles to visit his family for two days. We’re heading to a BBQ with some of their family friends on Labor Day. So I thought this gorgeous green gingham dress would be the perfect piece to slip into for the gathering.
Over the past 2-3 years green has become one of my favorite colors. When we made it one of our wedding colors, I was officially obsessed! I love the large gingham check of this dress. The easy tie at the waist, and the sweet pockets in the front of the dress. As we move into fall, I’ll style this dress with a denim jacket and booties or knee-high boots. I love the look of knee-high boots under midi dresses!
My purse is from one of my favorite brands, Cuyana (last seen here). The purse is still available in a beautiful rich brown color but I absolutely adore every purse that Cuyana makes from the mini saddle bag to the small hobo bag to the backpack.
