Fall has never looked so good! I’ve got a huge soft spot in my heart for Boulder, CO in October. Boulder is a dream every month of the year but Boulder in October is truly magical. I think back to college and I can’t believe I got to live in Boulder for four years! I shot this plaid skirt (last seen here) in Boulder on my favorite street in town, Mapleton Avenue. The street is lined with the most gorgeous trees that light up for fall in every shade of red, yellow, and orange. I must say, I thought my plaid skirt in Boulder fit right in!
I snagged this Vineyard Vines plaid skirt last fall but I’m clearly still wearing it a year later. I searched high and low for an identical skirt (similar) and I happily found a few handfuls of very similar plaid skirts (below). I like the look of a plaid skirt in Boulder with bare legs in early fall or in a place that doesn’t get too cold. I also like the look of my plaid skirt with tights in the winter.
I styled my plaid skirt with my black matte Hunter Boots. I wear these boots in rain, snow, and just when I’m trekking around outside. I also have these boots in a fun bright blue color. I really have my eye on a pair of red Hunter boots. How fun would red ones be around the holidays?!
I wear this quilted vest (on sale!) with just about everything. Y’all are lucky because J.Crew has released it every year for the last few years. Last year, it sold out though so I recommend seriously thinking about adding it to your closet now. It’s a great layering piece!
