Spring has been so beautiful in Los Angeles after so much rain this winter that I find myself wanting to press pause and savor every last minute of the season before summer creeps up. Don’t get me wrong, I can’t wait for summer and all the fun it promises to bring but for right now I’m enjoying the cool evenings, the blooming bushes, and the last weeks of my teaching my kindergarteners this year. When I saw these gorgeous pink blooms right up the street from my apartment, I knew I had to shoot my pink party dress in front of them!
J.Crew also has a handful of other pink party dresses and skirts that I’m crushing on just as much as mine including these pretties:
You may remember this pink party dress from when I wore it to my brother’s graduation two weeks ago in Alabama. I love it so much and Edwin actually told me it’s his favorite dress he’s ever seen me wear (quite a bold statement!) so I decided to do a full outfit with it on R&R. You just can’t beat seersucker! Although, I do also love the dress in solid pink too (comes in other solid colors as well). The off the shoulder style is perfect for spring and summer (I can’t wait for bronzed shoulders!) and the bow detailing it sweet as can be. The length makes it super appropriate for any and every wedding event you have coming up this summer too – showers, engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, and even weddings themselves.
My ombré pink earrings are such a steal of a deal that you’d be insane not to buy them! They come in a bunch of different colors here, in shimmer colors here, in gold, and in pearl. The pearl would be so perfect with a blue and white nautical summer look!
You’re never going to believe this but I’ve had this clutch for about 10 years! I have a problem with hanging onto fashion pieces but, in this case, I’m so glad I did! This clutch is from Kate Spade but is almost identical to these two J.McLaughlin clutches that is out now (one, two).
