November is here, which means the holiday season is almost upon us. I already can’t wait to be able to say “Happy Holidays” to people when I check out at stores and pass people on the street! I love the holidays because they are the best excuse to get a little fancy with my clothes. Even an easy dinner date look can be dressed up at this time of year. Instead of flat sandals I wear booties or heels, instead of a flowy top I wear lace or velvet, and instead of neutral accessories I throw on fun jewels or pops of leopard. This lace and leopard outfit that I wore to dinner at Herringbone with Allison, Valorie, and Stephanie is just perfect for this time of year! Read on for a special guest who popped into this post!
To make the look even a little more dressed up, I could have styled the top with black jeans or a skirt (with tights on a cold night). My distressed step hem jeans gave the look a good casual balance since it was just dinner with the girls and not a party.
Every time I wear these suede heels I have about three different people stop me to ask me where I got them. The answer is obviously Nordstrom (doesn’t everyone get all their shoes there??). I love the suede for fall. If you read R&R frequently then you know that I’m a big fan of the block heel… being comfortable is so important to me! These lace up heels are a great price too, aka they are a win win.
This top is everything! I can’t get enough of lace! I’ve had the same long sleeve white lace top for 5 years and I wear it relentlessly winter after winter. It was the perfect top but it was also definitely time for a refresh. I snagged this gorgeous lace top during the recent Shopbop Friends & Family sale and am so glad I did. Unfortunately, it has since sold out in white but it’s still available in black. I linked a handful of similar white lace tops below so you can nail the lace and leopard look too!
Surprise! I’m so happy my best friend Allison is making an appearance on R&R today! Her look for our girls dinner is so perfectly fall. Suede skirts are popping up everywhere and I just can’t get enough of hers. Her suede skirt is from last year but here are four super similar ones that I equally love: one, two, three, four. Her mini bucket bag is adorable and not always available… but it is available now right here. Keep reading for similar lace tops below (but this top is a dead ringer for Allison’s).
