Can you believe that Thanksgiving is this week!? I’m in disbelief of where the time goes but am so excited for Thursday. I LOVE Thanksgiving. I love the food, the time with family, and all the feelings of gratitude Thanksgiving brings. Not a day goes by that I’m not thankful for my family, for Edwin, for my R&R readers, and for so much more but I do enjoy that Thanksgiving gives us the opportunity to stop and remember all that we are thankful for.
I’ve already shared some Thanksgiving content with y’all like my Gift Guide for the Hostess, my Thanksgiving Nail Polish Guide, and my updated What to Wear on Thanksgiving Guide (all the links are refreshed with current similar products!) but. today, I’m excited to share a holiday outfit to wear for Thanksgiving. My family always gets a little dressed up for Thanksgiving so a suede skirt with otk boots (for warmth!) and a dressy top is the perfect look with a coat layered on top. I love this look because it is perfect for other holidays parties and events too!
Holiday Outfit To Wear For Thanksgiving
I bought this tan suede skirt last fall (last seen here) and was so happy when fall hit this year so I could reach for it again in my closet. My exact skirt is almost sold out but it also comes in chocolate, black, and gray and I found this super similar tan suede mini skirt. I also can’t help sharing these three other suede skirts: save, average, splurge.
I’m obsessed with my mini burgundy satchel. Obsessed. I got it on sale (I’m a big believer in taking advantage of sales!) and am so happy I did. Honestly I love Tory Burch clothing and love her purses and shoes when they aren’t super branded and labeled so this mini satchel is a hit with me. I feel dressed up when I wear it but also like to style it with blue jeans and a simple tee. It comes in 5 colors too, bonus! If you aren’t ready to invest but want to master the burgundy purse look, then shop one of these more budget friendly purses (p.s. more burgundy here!):
Over the Knee Boots
I’ve mentioned before that I love wearing over the knee boots over jeans, with mini skirts (like in this outfit) or short dresses, and under maxi skirts and dresses. You really can’t go wrong with otk boots! I think leather or suede over the knee boots pair perfectly with short dresses and mini skirts because they add warmth to your outfit and make the look cold weather appropriate. I’ve had my Stuart Weitzman 50/50 over the knee boots for years… they are an investment but will never go out of style and are such fabulous quality that they will last season after season. I also love this similar pair of leather otk boots and this similar pair of suede otk boots, both for much much less (can we talk about how amazing those prices are!?).
Speaking of sales…
If you live in Charleston or near by, then listen up! You must go to the Tibi Outlet in St. Simon, GA. I go every time I’m down there. The store says they get groups of women who drive there from places like Atlanta and Charleston just to shop the discounts and, I have to say, I don’t blame them! I got the top I’m wearing here at a hugely discounted price. Not sponsored… just go! I love the cinched sleeves of the top I got. These gorgeous tops are channeling the same look: one, two, three, four.
