With the end of summer, I start to transition the color palette of my wardrobe from nautical and bright summer colors to more muted autumn hues. So, today’s post is a bit of an ode to summer with my end of summer blue & white outfit. I shot this look in California right before I left for my big move across the country to Charleston. In both California and Charleston, I can wear this outfit all the way through October as the weather takes a bit to cool off in both cities. So I still plan to get a lot of wear out of this end of summer blue and white (I know, so nautical!) look.
I have big hearts in my eyes when I wear this navy eyelet top! I love navy year around – it’s so great for fall! I also love the eyelet because it’s so girlie and fun to wear. The ruffles and the bell sleeve sleeves add just the right amount of statement to the top. Winner winner chicken dinner! I also found a handful of other blue tops that are perfect for transitioning your wardrobe from summer to fall:
My white jean skirt is a bit of a new look for me as of late. I haven’t even worn blue jean skirt in years so I had a lot of fun with the trend coming back and decided to take it a step further by scooping up a white denim skirt. It’s so classic and can be worn out with friends to a birthday brunch or to work. I love the versatility! I completely embrace wearing white after Labor Day so I think it will be cute with chunky knit sweaters and tennis shoes, loafers, or flats this fall. These other four white jean skirts are also adorable options: one, two, three, four.
I love my purse so much that I can’t imagine tucking it away for fall and winter so I’m planning to keep it in full rotation for awhile longer. It’s from a new company on the scene, Pom & Circumstance, that specializes in purses and sandals! I’m telling you, you’ll love all their pieces and everything is super affordable! I also love these two similar styles: one, two.
