Happy Thursday loves!
I’m still going strong with Nantucket content over here so I hope y’all are still enjoying these posts! Today’s post is a break from my standard outfit posts but I’m still sharing what we wore on the island… what we wore on a beach day at Surfside Beach. As soon as the five boys arrived on Nantucket for the second half of our trip, we took them to the beach for lunch + a day of sand, surf, and sun. All the boys arrived on Nantucket starving after hours of traveling and all of them surf and body surf so we knew they’d love Surfside Beach…!
Before I spill on why Surfside Beach is arguably the best beach on Nantucket and give you a rundown on all the other wonderful beaches on the island, I want to share (or introduce) y’all to one of my favorite swimwear brands, Summersalt. All three of us are wearing different Summersalt suits and we just love them! All the swimwear is designed by women to fit women beautifully and make women feel confident by the pool or on the beach! Plus, all the bathing suits are under $100! This bathing suit is my third Summersalt suit I’ve owned because I keep going back to the company for the fit, comfort, styles, colors, and price point!
Surfside Beach is perhaps my favorite beach on Nantucket.
The famous snack bar over there is just so good! The Surfside Beach Shack is known for their burgers (which I usually get!) but I’m also partial to their lobster roll (because, Nantucket!). The shack has picnic tables to eat at or you can bring everything down to munch on while on the beach. It’s PERFECT and just what our whole group wanted this day. A beach day at Surfside Beach isn’t complete without Surfside Beach Shack!
After filling our bellies, we headed down to the water where the boys body surfed for over an hour and the girls swam around and dove under big waves. The water is so cool and refreshing but very easy to warm up in after swimming around for a few minutes. The beach itself is simply stunning with white sand and swaying seagrass. My heart swells for East Coast beaches and Surfside Beach is no exception.
In addition to Surfside Beach, we also love a few other beaches on Nantucket! There are so many different beaches to visit and explore. Here’s a mini rundown…
It’s the place to be for an unbelievable sunset (p.s. eat at Millie’s after watching the sun dip).
It’s the perfect beach to visit for a quite, non crowded beach day.
It’s a lovely beach to take a stroll on and to admire all the beautiful houses at the top of the staircases (p.s. Steps Beach is right next to Jettie’s Beach which gets very crowded but does have the restaurant Sandbar – it’s not my favorite but can be fun). P.S. did you know that Gray Malin has a whole series dedicated to Nantucket and the island’s different beaches!?
