Spring Break In Charleston

I spent the first eleven days of my spring break in Charleston at my family’s house. It was HEAVENLY! I spent great time with my family for Easter, saw a bunch of friends, ate a ton of yummy meals, took daily neighborhood walks, sipped handfuls of glasses of rosé, and all around had a wonderful time. A few of my highlights…

I went out and toured the Middleton Plantation, Magnolia Plantation, and McLeod Plantation, which was so fun because I hadn’t been to any of them before.

I went fishing with my family and caught a 30lbs redfish (we caught 15 fish all together!).

I shopped on King Street and went to an amazing new boutique called Morgan Kylee that opened while I was in town! If you’re from Atlanta then you might remember her Buckhead store (she just relocated it permanently to Charleston). I’m absolutely in love with just about every piece she carries. It’s a very well curated shop with classic pieces and a bit of a boho flare. I wish I took a photo in Morgan Kylee but here’s a shot from the entrance to another King Street store, Marine Layer.

I also stopped into my other favorite boutiques Hampden Clothing, Beckett Boutique, and Candy Shop Vintage.

Chassity and I lunched at Xiao Bao Biscuit. Chassity steared me in the direction of the Japanese cabbage pancake and I was obsessed! I got sunset drinks at the fairly new rooftop spot The Watch with girlfriends. I went to Raw 167 four times (no joke, it’s the best!) with Brooke (twice!) and with Annie. I also sipped rosé with Gillian at Stars Rooftop.

I took a BYOB candle making class at Candlefish, which was a ball! The candles from the class always serve as a wonderful souvenir from my Charleston trips.

I took in a little culture doing the Charleston home and garden tour with my Mom and her friends. I took a cooking class and made a four-course meal. I’m excited to try to make the desert we made at home – apple puff pastries. I also went on countless runs around The Battery, which is so picturesque along the water.

Ahh this post is so beautiful! Gorgeous, gorgeous photos. I had the best time dining with you, and I think you need to move over here ASAP! I am so so so happy you did the Bob Waggoner cooking class – it’s honestly been one of my favorite experiences to date in Charleston! That apple puff pastry was amaaaaazing when I went (and surprisingly easy to make!). Hope the real world is treating you well! xoxo
