The wardrobe item I’ve been most excited about adding to my closet this summer has been this long floral dress from Banana Republic. I snagged it during a weekend sale when I was in Charleston scouting wedding venues (more about that experience here!) and have since worn it in Charleston, in NYC, and out to dinner at Nick & Toni’s in East Hampton.
At 5’4”, I’m not that tall so I sometimes question wearing long dresses as I think I look taller when my legs are visible. However, whenever I wear long dresses or maxi dresses I’m always happy I did because it’s so fun to swing around in a long, ladylike dress! This long floral dress has lots of twirling opportunities and looks so pretty bouncing around when I walk.
I love the floral print – let’s face it, I love florals – against the white background color of the dress. It’s so bright for summer! I made the look even brighter by adding a bright pink clutch (old – similar, similar) and tossing on a matching pink statement bracelet from J.Crew (on sale and also comes in a necklace!). I can never wear enough pink!
You’ve seen me wear these Joie block heels a handful of time this spring and summer (here). They are my favorite. The sandals come in a tall heel too, woop! I’ve had a number of friends see them and buy them too because they are so practical and cute. Joie shoes always have the most comfy soles too.
As I mentioned here, I accidentally took last week off from blogging. I was in Aspen for the 4th of July for almost a week and didn’t know the ranch we were staying at didn’t have wifi until I got there. I then went home for 24 hours and hopped on an international flight (no wifi over the ocean) so I just couldn’t keep up as planned! Thanks so much for sticking with me! I have some exciting posts coming this week! xx
